  • Product Story

After creating paper mache structures for the Guinness World Book Of Records, the Euros and Paynter Jacket, Emmely Elgersma has translated her textured practice into a colourful, sculptural table lamp in two sizes for Atelier100. Having tirelessly contacted almost every tennis club in the London area, Emmely received fifty empty tennis ball tubes which would otherwise have gone to waste, using them as the tubular structure of each lamp.

  • Manufacturing Story

Scouring the city for discarded Evening Standard and Metro newspapers, Emmely has used these London broadsheets to envelop the body of the lamp and reclaimed lamp shades – bought in charity shops throughout the city – hand painting each one in unique colours in her Stoke Newington studio.
